We are looking for a Junior T.I.G Welder/Fabricator to join our team.

Key responsibilities will be but not limited to:

• T.I.G welder/fabricator to work in the Fabrication Department (Basic TIG welding skills an advantage but not a necessity as training will be provided)

• To assist the fabrication team with the build schedule of fabricated components
• To manufacture components using technical drawings
• T.I.G weld mild steel
• Sub-assembly of fabricated components including use of jigs

Ginetta have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic growing team in Garforth Leeds. We are seeking an individual with outstanding communication and leadership skills who thrives on the challenge of delivering for our customers in the exciting world of competitive motorsport. The individual will be responsible for on time delivery of the production of racing cars for our clients and customers. The individual should also have experience of continual improvement of processes in a variety of areas. We are looking for someone who is used to a fast-paced environment and will hit the ground running in this new and exciting role.

 Main Duties

• Lead plan and provide clear direction to our various department managers in order to ensure they deliver to schedule as part of the car and spares build programme. Ensure we deliver new cars to plan and to top quality on a weekly basis.
• Lead various key planning meetings in order to effectively deliver our production plan. The candidate will lead parts and production delivery forums, planning meetings and daily “stand ups” in this fast-moving environment.
• The candidate will work closely with our sales and commercial teams through the “on and off” season to plan and achieve our car production output across the UK and wider markets in the US and beyond.
• Work with our parts team to supply parts to race teams through the peak season demand. Be accountable for all stock across Ginetta.
• Monitor and manage our resource plans within agreed plans and budgets.
• Set plans and measure against performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Lead a collaborate open culture based on constant improvement. Ensure all colleagues are trained and competent to complete tasks and seek further training as required.
• Work closely with business partner in HR and Finance as required in order to operate a clear control environment with clear rules, process and management.
• Drive a culture of constant process improvement and identify areas for improvement. Work with our engineering and technical department to collaborate on design improvements and new vehicles as they are released.
• Lead department heads and plan for each area including monitoring annual leave, ensuring competent cover for each role and working with other managers to forecast resource.
• Attend senior management meetings as required and be the accountable executive for Health and Safety in the factory.
• Set clear performance targets and conduct staff appraisals.

As a bodywork assembly engineer, you will be producing a number of component assemblies to support the manufacture and maintenance of number of road and race cars. Bodywork, headlights, door mechanisms all need to be assembled to the highest possible standards.

The Role

The ideal candidate will have a professional, forward thinking and positive approach to managing all aspects of the W2R track support and workshop activities. A clear communicator and can-do attitude with focus on quality of work carried out and excellence in customer service.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Professional presentation of track & race cars both mechanically & aesthetically at events
• Manage track side support and junior workshop team.  
• Record keeping including job sheets and customer invoicing.

• Support customers at track events including track days, testing and race weekends.
• Responsible for track support admin – event planning, event set up and set down, run sheets, customer support, parts ordering.
